WHAT MAKES US TICK, THE THINGS THAT WE CARE ABOUT
We’re committed to ethics and sustainability, working closely in partnership with local suppliers, getting to know the people behind the products they produce. We’re also committed to smiling, having fun and working really really hard to achieve something amazing. Please come and pay us a visit.
Hi, my name’s Mark Cribb and I’m lucky enough to own the Urban Reef restaurant with a dollop of help from the bank. I adore hospitality and you can read a bit more about the life journey that lead me to this point here. For now though please be assured that I’m obsessed by the desire for you to love the Urban Reef and all that we do. The opportunity to run such an exciting restaurant, right on the beach of my home town, overlooking the ocean, really is a boyhood dream. I’m excited every single day about leaping out of bed and making it better.
We are not owned by a corporate board of directors in London. I’m a local guy, with a couple of young kids and a love of human beings, food, drinks and time. You as a customer are utterly awesome. You’re not just a number or another digit to the faceless corporates. With hundreds of bars and restaurants in town, every time you choose one of mine I’d like to leap out and give you a little thank you hug. We even have a Hug Club.
Some days in seafront restaurants it’s utterly bonkers and things may go a little wrong, but some days it can be one of the most epic places on earth to kick back and enjoy the seaside vibes. Rest assured, that whatever the day, our desire is to look after you well and make your day just a little bit better, or even a lot.
I hope to see you at a venue soon, but if you ever need me, I can be contacted via firstname.lastname@example.org.
